C Family - Castle Pines Family Photographer

If my calendar shows correctly these were actually taken in November, but seeing as how I am way behind in posting, I'll give it a December date! The C family were so much fun to photograph. The weather was spectacular (oh how I love Colorado sunshine), and we were even treated to views of nearby horses and a passing train - much to the delight of their two sweet boys. All in all it made for a perfect morning shoot. Thank you C family for such an easy morning of capturing your love and laughter!

And a very happy holidays and new year to all of my clients from this past year. What a remarkable year it has been for my wee little business! I so appreciate each of you who invited me into your family for an hour or so. I was honored to be able to capture such beautiful families in such a beautiful part of this fine country we live in. I wish for you a very happy and prosperous 2010, and I look forward to many more sunny days and sunny smiles!

I Family - Castle Pines Family Photographer

Having two little boys of my own, I'm always a sucker for photographing a family with two little boys as well. And boy oh boy did these two little guys deliver! The cuteness factor was turned way up, and their parents are some kind of beautiful as well. A perfect morning with a gorgeous family!

And by the way, Happy Holidays from crib tales! Wishing you and yours a lovely holiday season!

T Family - Colorado Springs Family Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a dear friend who I've known for years and years. I was even in her wedding! But we lost touch after college and thanks to the beauty of Facebook, we found each other again, and low and behold, we only live a short way from each other! So I've been able to reconnect with she and her husband, and meet their precious, adorable, gorgeous daughters!

Our session took place on a lovely fall afternoon, with snow in the background and a warm, glowy sun on their skin (no flash needed - this was all sun-power baby!) - it was a perfect afternoon for a photography session. It must have been -there were 3 other photographers shooting at the same location that day! Thank you T family for a beautiful afternoon, and I'm so glad to have found you all again!

D Family - November 2009

Ella receives the award for being my most photographed child (next to my own children of course)! I first photographed her last spring after her parents bid on my services at a charity auction. Her portraits from that session remain some of my very favorites. She is full of spunk and sweetness and energy. Then I had the good fortune to photograph her again at a recent school portrait session I did at her school. Of course she rocked that session as well. And finally her family wanted in on the act so I got to have a session with all three of them. They are such a fun, awesome family. And Ella, well, she just makes me smile.

G Family - Castle Rock Family Photographer

I have a favorite secret spot where I love to photograph families. OK, it isn't really a secret - it is the East Plum Creek Trail here in Castle Rock. But my secret is that I start at the end rather than the beginning. The scenery is gorgeous in this location - you get mountains, foliage, walking paths, and even a bridge if we get far enough into it. There is so much opportunity for that "gotcha!" shot. And the G family was no exception. In fact I probably got a dozen "gotcha!" shots at this session. It would be hard to go wrong with a family as beautiful as this one. And what a surprise when I delivered their final CD and found out they live just a minute away from me, in the exact same house as we have! Meeting wonderful new people like them is a big part of what I love most about my job. Thank you for a wonderful session G family - I hope to see you around the 'hood!

L Family - Castle Pines Family Photographer

Gidget is one of my very closest and dearest friends, so when she asked me to photograph her gorgeous family I jumped at the chance. You may recall I did a session for her earlier this year when her daughter Charleigh Jo turned one. But this time it was the whole family - all five of them! It was a bit of a blustery day but those three kiddos and their two awesome parents definitely brought their A-game. They were such a delight to capture, and since they know me so well, I didn't have to bring anyone out of their shell. Just lots of smiles and even more laughter. I love this family...thank you L Family for allowing me into your family for such a fun morning!
