A few Sundays ago I had the privilege of shooting this beautiful family. Not only that, but I got to photograph them at their gorgeous home, complete with several ponds, golf course views, and a hill full of gorgeous wildflowers. I honestly had to be held back from putting down the camera and scooping up armfuls of flowers alongside them. It was a perfect setting, and kept everyone at ease. It was as if I was just a close family friend taking in the summer morning's sun with them. Lovely. Thank you F family for letting me into your home and into your family!

Sweet Boy - Castle Rock Children's Photographer
I'm like the cobbler who's children have no shoes. My own children rarely get a "proper" photo shoot. I take plenty off the cuff shots of them that receive very little tlc as far as composition, lighting, etc. I just snap as we go and hope for the best. I intended to remedy this with a solo shoot for my youngest son who will be three in October. Since big brother is now in full day school, he and I have a lot of time together to hang out. Last week I took him on a walkabout around our quaint little town here in Colorado. It was a gorgeous day and he granted me some darling shots. I love this boy.
In addition to the shots of Mr H himself, I have added a few more "scenic" shots from around town. I'm just starting to really get more into photographing the every day of life - flowers, bugs, a quaint downtown cafe. There is so much life in such simplicity.

B Family - Monument Family Photographer
You may recognize portions of this family shoot from here and here. I love getting to shoot clients for a 2nd or 3rd time! This time I got to do the entire family including Grandparents - what a treat! The location for this beautiful shoot was Fox Run Park in Monument, Colorado. It was a perfect place to capture this loving family. Thank you B family for allowing me into your family for the afternoon - it was so much fun!

Amber and Chris - Married!
Amber and Chris were married July 4. It was my first wedding to shoot. Can I confess I was nervous? I was. So many tiny details not to be missed. I was worried I might miss something. But honestly, things went beautifully. The location for their wedding was the gorgeous gardens of a dear family friend. The attention to details was spot on - stunning color theme of red, white and black with accents of yellow. The wedding party was a lovely group of friends who Amber and Chris have respectively known for ages and ages. Chris's daughters made adorable flower girls. There was so much love and friendship felt in this intimate wedding ceremony. And despite mother nature bringing lucky-rain to the day, it went off without a hitch. I was honored to be asked to capture the memories of the day. Thank you again, Amber and Chris, and many congratulations and best wishes!
